Body of Man Found Four Years After Death

David Carter, believed to have committed suicide in 2007, was found dead and decomposing in January 2012 in his West Allis, Wisconsin home.
The body of David Cater was found when his house was foreclosed upon because of unpaid property taxes. After quitting his job and telling his friends he was moving to New Mexico, killed himself. He was found with a gunshot to the head. A 9-mm was found on the, nearly skeletonized, 41 year olds body. The specific date of death is uncertain but it is estimated Carter died sometime in late 2007.Theresa Bornheimer an old friend of Carter's, told the local news station, "I knew he was alone and I wanted to talk to him". Carter had been distraught over the break-up between him and his girlfriend, they had a daughter and he hadn’t seen her since 2006. Carter had taken care of his mother before she died from cancer in 1997. He had no siblings, and never knew his father. The city is expected to clean out the house and sell it. The money from the sale will likely go to the city, but could be claimed by his daughter.
